On the back of the photograph, sent in a letter to her sister Margit, Ragnhild wrote: "Miss Sverre, the Swedish painter Arnolds, and myself are in the back row. The Japanese Kuroda, the Swedish Miss Anderson, and the American Miss Houser. I have not cut my hair short, but it certainly looks that way in the photographs."
